Great design. These units are much lighter and easier to move around than the upright cooling systems. The portable kit is a must and highly recommended which adds the wheels and lift handles. Needed solution for additional cooling for server room on 53' transporter on the real hot days. Purchased two of these and very happy with the units!

These units are indeed a bit large and heavy... the WMC-2500 is constructed of some pretty robust materials which contributes to the higher weight... but it's built like a tank and should last you many, many years! The type of AC units we sell are spot coolers. They are industrial grade AC units designed for cooling down a space that they are located in. You can reach out to a sales rep for sizing help @ sales@rackmountsolutions.net.
The basic rule is that you need about 13,000 BTUs per 400 sq ft. with an 8ft ceiling height. This does not take into account the number of the people in the space or electronic equipment.
