Q: I'm planning a chassis build and would like to use either the D2 or UD2 model, but I'm unclear as to the floor plate. In the video it appears that it's an open grate type of thing, which is not suitable for what we need to install in it. Do any of these drawer units have solid floor plates, or can they be ordered with that option?

A: Thank you so much for your interest in our rackmount drawers! The D2 model does indeed have a "mesh" bottom to allow for cable management tie-down, so it would not be ideal for your application. The UD2 does have a solid bottom, though, so it would be sufficient! (It comes with a mat, which is why it appears to be a textured bottom, but it is indeed solid).
