Product Information

The 12U Edge 3 19" soundproof cabinet is the only server enclosure proven to provide 28.5 dB(A) sound reduction and 11.5 KW heat dissipation. It is 100% portable and more than 5 times quieter than a standard server rack/cabinet. Perfect for edge computing or for your micro data center, the Edge 3 series of soundproof server cabinet is the best in their class. Locking split front and rear doors, locking side panels, multiple cable entry points on the top and bottom, this server cabinet protects and quiets your equipment to a whisper.

Commonly used in offices and training rooms, the Edge 3 can go just about anywhere. The casters on the Edge 3 support up to 2,200 lb. of static weight and wheel smoothly through doorways, down hallways, and into office rooms without problem.

Please note: The optional Directional Airflow Exhaust (DAX) kit is not compatible with the 12U Edge 3 cabinet.

Fans are 115V and not 220/240V fans. 220/240V power will damage the fans. 220/240V cabinets can be special ordered. Contact Rackmount Solutions for more details.

Monitoring System

The Edge 3 now features an intelligent EMS for environmental monitoring, power, and security. Monitor your soundproof cabinet and connected devices on a single screen. Set alerts to recieve texts, emails, or alarms for any issues. By default any issues are shown on the touchscreen on the front of the cabinet for any known issues. Let's setup your Edge 3 with various sensors including: Power, Camera, Cooling, Security, Fire, Motion, and Door alarms. This server room in a cabinet is perfect for your micro data center or edge computing.

So nice to work near these quiet racks

This soundproof cabinet is the way to go. I have multiple uSystems soundproof racks in my lab. This latest 24u Edge 3 soundproof cabinet works so well some people don't think there is anything in the cabinet. I had to get this 24u rack to support a customer demo. n, no one could hear me.

My equipment puts off nearly 80dB of noise with all my exhaust fans and nearly 8.5kW of heat. The 24u Edge 3 cabinet manages the noise and the heat expertly. Customers were happy to be able to hear the presentation(especially after we showed off what was in the rack with it fully powered up).

If you need something to quiet down your server/equipment space, use this rack. You will not be disappointed.

Great purchase experience

I want to thank Kevin for his help with our UCoustic soundproof server housing. We bought an 8 GPU system that you could literally hear outside of the building and now it’s quiet as a mouse.
