Q: Will this be good for housing a 4U 8 GPU server with 3+1 2700W PSUs in a homelab setup?

A: Hi Feisal,
Unfortunately, I'm not able to recommend this cabinet for your server. AQ211934 can only handle up to 1.5kw of heat. With a 2,700w PSU, the heat load can easily exceed what this cabinet can exhaust. Our 12U Ucoustic or Edge-3 would be the only acoustic cabinet I can recommend. If you would like to speak with someone or more details, please email: sales@rackmountsolutions.net for assistance.

Q: How well does this unit deal with heat? Would it be able to keep a 4u 16 disk raid cool & quiet?

A: Thank you so much for your interest in the AcoustiQuiet MiniCab, Nathan! This cabinet will reduce the noise generated within the cabinet by 14dB(A), and can dissipate 1.5kW of heat. Whether or not that is sufficient for keeping the disk raid cool and quiet will depend on how much heat and noise it is generating, as that can vary from application to application. If you are able to provide any info on the power draw of the raid (in watts) as well as the level of sound generated by it (you can typically download decibel meter apps on your cell phone to measure sound level), we can review that info to confirm. Q: Since it is custom built to order, is it possible to get casters instead of feet on the bottom?

Actually, this cabinet is not built to order, it's in stock here in Texas and ready to ship, so we'll need to get our site corrected - sorry for any confusion!
