I used this for my winch I mounted in the attic and the cable drops down thru this. This is very well built and looks nice. Little pricey for what I was doing with it but I can see why.

A: Hi Fred,
-The outside dimensions is 11" x 8.25" x 1.625".
-The cutout dimensions needed is 9.25" x 6.75".
-Usable cable area is 8" x 4"
