The remote physical monitoring system is the new standard in environmental, power, and security monitoring devices. The RPM system provides disaster prevention and early warning detection of equipment failures. When conditions exceed user-defined limits, the Console Manager sends out alert notifications via e-mail, SNMP, or SMS.
The remote monitor system can also be proactive. When an alarm occurs, the RPM can turn on, off, reboot a server or turn on an auxiliary fan automatically. The RPM system relies on new Remote Intelligent Multi Sensors® technology (RIMS), that collect environmental and security data. Each RIMS records and stores its own reading to eliminate data logging delays. In addition, the unit’s clock is battery backed to ensure that each data point is properly recorded. RIMS are a
Daisy Chain Sensor®, so up to 250 different RIMS can be plugged into one RPM CM. RIMS can be located up to 1000 ft. away from the RPM.
